Dr. Rufus Olaoluwa

Rufus is currently an Associate Professor of law at the Lagos State University, Nigeria. He has a robust background in Russian legal system and investment culture as well as Nigerian legal system; and speaks and writes Russian language and English language proficiently. He has experience in international maritime law and international investment law after obtaining a Ph.D in international law in 1992. He is well grounded in both civil and common law. He was admitted to practice law in Nigeria.

Rufus has taught and supervised post-graduate students in maritime law and boundaries, diplomatic and consular law as well as investment law and law of international institutions. He is the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Society of International Law and a member of Institute of Construction Industry Arbitrators. He is particularly able to advice Russian investors in Africa or investors interested in Russia or other Eastern European Countries in the areas of construction, maritime and similar investments or trade.
